Gauge Diaphragm seals are used for media isolation meaning it enables the gauge media to be isolated from the line media but still give an accurate pressure reading. It does this by having a diaphragm in between the line media and the gauge media which flexes with pressure fluctaution to enable it to be transmitted to the guage. It also enables the gauge to do higher media temperaures as it is isolated. The gauge side should be filled with glycerine or silicone oil taking care to bleed out any air bubbles. The diaphragm itself is actaully a stainless steel bellow with a PTFE body o-ring. Ideal for corrosive, contaminated, hot or viscous medias. ** Gauge Diaphragm Supplied Dry - No Fluid **
